Professional FAQ
- Q: Why does my weld feel "soft" compared to the base metal?A: ER4043 is a non-heat-treatable alloy. The area around the weld (HAZ) is annealed by the heat, and the filler metal itself has lower yield strength than a heat-treated 6061-T6 plate.
- Q: Can I use this for overhead welding?A: Yes, with the correct pulse-MIG settings, ER4043's fluidity can be managed for all-position welding.
